Since 1995, Silver Star Inn has provided a secluded country-style log lodge experience in Spring Green, Wisconsin. Our 70-acre property blends antique, vintage, and contemporary furnishings to create a casual yet elegant environment for guests seeking relaxation or special events. Located minutes from cultural landmarks like American Players Theatre and Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin, we offer ten uniquely decorated guest rooms with private bathrooms, full log walls, and modern amenities. Our grounds feature hiking trails through the Driftless Area's unique terrain, outdoor firepits, and wraparound porches with scenic views.

We serve hearty breakfasts using fresh eggs from our on-site chickens and produce from our gardens. The inn accommodates group gatherings with flexible event spaces and maintains historical significance as a property designed and built over eight months in 1994-1995 by original owner Jean Langer. Current innkeepers Kevin and Elise Dallman have continued this tradition of hospitality since 2017, ensuring every guest experiences our commitment to quality accommodations and personalized service.

Our ten uniquely decorated rooms feature queen or king beds, private bathrooms, and modern amenities like air conditioning and satellite internet. Each room sleeps 2-6 guests with options including pull-out sofas, daybeds, and ADA-compliant accessible suites. Full log walls and antique furnishings create a rustic yet comfortable atmosphere.

Start your day with a hearty country breakfast featuring fresh eggs from our chickens and produce from our gardens. Meals are served in our dining room or on the front porch overlooking raised bed gardens. We accommodate dietary restrictions with advance notice and offer flexible serving times.

Explore 70+ acres of private trails through the Driftless Area's unique terrain featuring rock outcroppings, meadows, and wooded paths. Our property connects to regional hiking areas like Governor Dodge State Park while offering immediate access to scenic bluffs and natural habitats.

Event Hosting

What time can I check in and out?

Check-in is between 4:00-7:00 PM with early check-in available for $20. Check-out is by 11:00 AM with late checkout charged at $20/hour.

Are pets allowed at the inn?

Only service animals are permitted due to allergy concerns. We maintain a strict no-pet policy inside the building to ensure guest comfort.

Can I use gift certificates for weekend stays?

Silver Star gift certificates apply to all reservations. Third-party certificates have restrictions for Friday/Saturday stays June-October and holidays.

Do rooms have modern amenities?

All rooms include air conditioning, private bathrooms, satellite internet, and reading materials. Some feature gas fireplaces, televisions, and private deck access.

How far are local attractions?

We're 5-8 miles from major attractions including House on the Rock, Taliesin, and American Players Theatre with detailed directions provided for guests.
