The 1848 Inn is a family-owned and operated year-round motel and seasonal cottages with a rich historical legacy. Established in 1848 as a small inn, our property served as a hideout for runaway slaves during its early years and has since evolved into a modern hospitality destination while preserving its storied past. We offer 23 rental units, including poolside motel rooms, cozy cottages, and large efficiency units, all equipped with contemporary amenities like air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and refrigerators.
